UNE DERNIERE TURPITUDE DE DONALD - ONE LAST TURPITUDE FROM DONALD

C'est encore Donald qui fait la une de mon actualité, ce n'est pas que le personnage m'intéresse et soit particulièrement attrayant, bien au contraire.

Mais, une de ces dernières turpitudes me sidère particulièrement.

Décidément, il nous faut changer de lexiques pour comprendre la nouvelle « diplomatie » mondiale.

Donald écrit au Président Lula pour le sommer d'arrêter la "chasse aux sorcières" (je cite) dont serait victime Jair Bolsonaro qui est accusé par la justice brésilienne d’avoir tenté d’organiser un coup d’État, fin 2023, pour renverser les résultats de la dernière présidentielle qui a vu la victoire de Lula… qu’il aurait, par ailleurs, cherché à faire assassiner.

Si le gouvernement brésilien n'obtempère pas, les Etats-unis appliqueront des taxes douanières de 50 % sur les exportations brésiliennes.

" J’ai connu, et j’ai eu affaire à l’ancien président Bolsonaro que je respecte beaucoup ", souligne Donald qui apporte une nouvelle preuve du système maffieux qu'il a mis en place à Washington. Donald le parrain se prend pour le roi et veut faire comprendre au reste du monde les risques encourus par un gouvernement qui est dans le mauvais camp idéologique.

Je pense, en l'occurence, que Donald a surestimé son pouvoir de nuisance car les exportations du Brésil vers les États-Unis ne représentent que 2 % du PIB brésilien et devrait facilement être absorbé par le pays.

" Le petit déjeuner des Américains risquent de coûter plus cher car un tiers du café qu’ils boivent et la moitié des oranges qu’ils consomment viennent du Brésil " souligne le quotidien espagnol El Pais.

Quand allons nous avoir le courage de répondre et de clouer le bec à cette baudruche ?

It's Donald Trump who's making headlines in my news again, not that the character interests me or is particularly attractive, quite the contrary.

But one of these latest turpitudes particularly astounds me.

We definitely need to change our lexicon to understand the new global “ diplomacy ”.

Donald writes to President Lula to order him to stop the "witch hunt" (I quote) of which Jair Bolsonaro is allegedly the victim, who is accused by the Brazilian justice system of having attempted to organize a coup d'état at the end of 2023, to overturn the results of the last presidential election which saw the victory of Lula ... whom he is also said to have sought to have assassinated.

If the Brazilian government does not comply, the United States will impose a 50% tariff on Brazilian exports.

" I knew and dealt with former President Bolsonaro, whom I respect greatly. ", Donald points out, providing further proof of the mafia system he has set up in Washington. Donald the godfather thinks he is the king and wants to make the rest of the world understand the risks incurred by a government that is in the wrong ideological camp.

I think, in this case, that Donald has overestimated his power to cause harm because Brazilian exports to the United States represent only 2% of Brazilian GDP and should easily be absorbed by the country.

" Americans' breakfasts are likely to cost more because a third of the coffee they drink and half of the oranges they eat come from Brazil. " highlights the Spanish daily El Pais.

When will we have the courage to respond and shut this bubble up ?
