LE GROENLAND N'EST PAS A VENDRE. - GREENLAND IS NOT FOR SALE

Je l'aurais ! Par le compromis ou par la force, mais je l'aurais ! D'une manière ou d'une autre ... Donald ne rêve que du Groenland.

Ce n'est pas d'aujourd'hui que les USA veulent accaparer le Groenland.

Autonome depuis 1979, cette immense ile – superficie de 4 fois la France – qui reste rattachée au Danemark, intéresse depuis longtemps l'oncle Sam.

Déjà en 1867, le président Andrew Johnson avait fait une offre pour acheter l'Islande et le Groenland aux Danois qui refusent.

Il achète tout de même l'Alaska à la Russie.

En 1946, Truman, convoitant déjà les ressources de l'ile, propose 100 millions de dollars pour le Groenland : même refus des Danois. Cependant, dès 1960, les Américains implantent une base aérienne à Thulé expulsant au passage de nombreux inuits de leur terre.

Déjà, lors de son premier mandat en 2019, Donald voulait acheter le Groenland, sans succès.

Hier, 14 janvier, une réunion s'est tenue à Washington où les Groenlandais et les Danois ont réitérés leur position : LE GROENLAND N'EST PAS A VENDRE !

Alors, Donald montre ses petits biceps et affirme qu'il se rendra maître de l'ile par la force si cela est nécessaire.

Mais à combien est estimé le chèque que Donald et l'administration américaine devrait débourser pour se payer leur rêve : Pour 2 millions de KM2 les estimations oscillent entre 700 et 900 millions de Dollars – l'équivalent du budget annuel militaire des USA.

Belle somme, n'est ce pas … mais pas si cher que cela !

Enfin, le feuilleton n'est pas fini, car le Groenland n'est pas à vendre … aujourd'hui .

GREENLAND IS NOT FOR SALE

I'll get it! By compromise or by force, but I'll get it! One way or another... Donald dreams only of Greenland.

The US has long wanted to seize Greenland.

Autonomous since 1979, this immense island – four times the size of France – which remains attached to Denmark, has long been of interest to Uncle Sam.

As early as 1867, President Andrew Johnson had made an offer to buy Iceland and Greenland from the Danes, who refused.

He still buys Alaska from Russia.

In 1946, Truman, already coveting the island's resources, offered $100 million for Greenland: the Danes refused as well. However, as early as 1960, the Americans established an air base at Thule, displacing many Inuit from their land in the process.

Even during his first term in 2019, Donald wanted to buy Greenland, without success.

Yesterday, January 14th, a meeting was held in Washington where Greenlanders and Danes reiterated their position: GREENLAND IS NOT FOR SALE!

Then, Donald shows off his little biceps and declares that he will take control of the island by force if necessary.

But how much is the check that Donald and the American administration would have to pay to make their dream a reality? For 2 million km2, estimates range between 700 and 900 million dollars – the equivalent of the annual US military budget.

A nice sum, isn't it... but not that expensive!

Finally, the saga is not over, because Greenland is not for sale … today.
